What is Publicity?

Publicity is the generation of news coverage on local, regional, national and international levels. An ongoing process includes developing an in-depth PR Plan; writing, editing and distributing press releases to targeted news media operations; developing press kits; arranging on-air interviews; writing biographies; scheduling press conferences; writing speeches and statements; taking photos; organizing events; and developing news media mailing lists.

News coverage provides invaluable exposure to help build credibility, foster teamwork, and boost sales. Unlike advertising, which involves buying blocks of space or time, publicity is earned. News coverage is not limited to one publication. Depending on your news angle, a press release can garner coverage in dozens of publications. (Note: All of our press releases are written in Associated Press Style. We only write and distribute press releases with a strong news hook. We never waste a news reporter's time.)
